The 2007/08 season will see
the start of a new youth program with 3 teams being entered within the North
Devon Opticop League at the under 10s ,12s and 15s age groups. Everyone at
the Centre will be wishing luck to all three teams as they start a new life
in North Molton.
Skittles

This year
has been successful for another of the Sports Centre's teams as the ladies
Skittles team who plays in the South Molton League finished second in their
division and have been promoted to division A.
Other
skittles news is that Tom Wright's Cricketer's Skittles Team has also gained
promotion after winning their division of the South Molton Skittles League.
Ground Works:
Work on the new football
pitch is well under way but taking longer then anyone anticipated. The
newest updates on work on the pitch are that the bases for the new flood
lights have been placed, but unfortunately the work crew needs to wait a
month to allow the concrete to set properly in place. only then will the
floodlight poles be placed and secured in place.
Tournament Heaven:
This year's set of
tournaments took place on the weekends of the 9/10th and 16/17th of June
this year and were very successful as teams from all over the county and
some from out of the county entered into the biggest tournament to date in
terms of team entries. All of the teams who entered over the 4 days played
very well. Day 4 of the tournament even saw a referee get dunked for charity
at the end of the day as a total of £47 was raised for the Devon Air
Ambulance.
